The permit fails without it, and the installer will not fit it
Almost every hot tub needs a dedicated 240 volt circuit with a GFCI protected disconnect within sight of the tub and at least five feet away from it. The delivery crew will set the tub down and fill it, and then explain that the electrical is not their part. This is that part.
It is a real circuit, not an extension of something else: correctly sized cable, its own breaker, a weatherproof exterior disconnect box, proper bonding, and a permit and inspection. Done wrong it is genuinely dangerous, because it is a large amount of current sitting next to a large amount of water and a person in it.
Tell us the model before it arrives and we will size it off the manufacturer's own requirement, so the tub gets filled and used the same week rather than sitting there looking expensive.
